1. Overview

This Cancellation Policy explains how session cancellations, rescheduling, and discontinuation of classes affect your eligibility for refunds at ForSyntax.

2. Cancellation Window & Refund Eligibility

2.1 Cancellations Within the First 14 Days (Standard Refund Eligibility)

If a student cancels their enrollment within 14 days from their first paid session, they are eligible for a 100% prorated refund for unused sessions.

Refund Calculation:
Refund = (Total Sessions Purchased – Sessions Attended) × Session Rate

Important Notes:

  • Payment gateway charges (Razorpay, Easebuzz, international processors) are non-refundable.
  • Only unused sessions are refundable.
  • Cancellation must be done via email to support@forsyntax.com.

2.2 Cancellations After 14 Days

Cancellations made after 14 days are not eligible for refund, except for emergency cases.

If a cancellation request is still made after 14 days:

  • A refund is not guaranteed.
  • A variable service/processing fee will apply if the case is reviewed and approved.

2.3 Cancellations Due to Medical or Major Personal Emergencies

If a student must cancel classes due to a medical or major personal emergency:

Eligibility requires:

  • Valid documentation (e.g., medical certificate) submitted within 10 days of the incident.
  • Refund will be given only for unused sessions.

Refund Calculation:
Unused sessions × Session Rate
minus payment gateway charges
minus service/processing fees

3. Session-Level Cancellation Rules

3.1 Alpha Batch (One-on-One) Session Cancellations

  • Sessions may be rescheduled unlimited times with 24 hours’ notice.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are treated as no-shows (non-refundable).

3.2 Beta & Gamma Batch (Group) Cancellations

  • Group sessions follow a fixed timetable.
  • If one student cannot attend, the session still proceeds for the group.
  • The missed session is counted as attended and is non-refundable.
  • A recording will be provided, but the session cannot be rescheduled individually.

3.3 No-Shows (All Batches)

  • Missing a session without prior notice is considered a no-show.
